The Feast of the Epiphany is a great and very important ancient feast of the Church in memory of Jesus showing his glory in 3 ways: as an infant to the wisemen, at His baptism, and at the first miracle at Cana.
At today’s Mass, there will be blessing of Epiphany Holy Water at the beginning of the mass, and chalk, gold, incense at the end of mass.

What to bring: bring small container for the Holy Water, and gold (wedding rings, rosaries, pieces of gold jewelry), and incense if you wish these items to be blessed.
When you reach home, the father of the house goes through the house and sprinkles the Epiphany Holy Water in the rooms of your house to protect it and bring blessings. This Holy Water recalls the waters of the Jordan and the Baptism of Our Lord, and it also recalls our own baptism.

After the blessing with water, take the blessed chalk and write the following over the front door: 20 + C + M + B + 19. The numbers 20 and 19 refers to the year. and the three letters refer to the traditional names given to the three wisemen, Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar. CMB could also refer to the Latin blessing “Christus mansionem benedicat” (Christ bless this house). Chalks would be distributed at the end of the mass.
